I'm interested in maybe getting started in pattern and I'm wondering what my options are for a pattern plane in the 90 sized range?

I know about the Focus Sport and I'm just wondering what else is out there.

I've wondered the same thing. One I am looking seriously at is the Hyperion Helios.

Hmm, I didn't know that one existed.  I may just wait for the Extreme Flight Vanquish 2M to come out and fly it on some Zippy Lipos.

Yeah, I understand Chris Hinson had the 2M Vanquish prototype at the Atlanta Huckfest. I had seen pictures of it a few months ago, looks like it should work. Chris is a stickler for perfection in his planes, I'm sure the 2M Vanquish will be a good flier.

I may end up getting the Helios anyway, my son is ready to start flying pattern and it would be a good starter plane for him, and a good practice plane period. I've already got Zippy battery packs for it as well.

Saw the helios fly this weekend....very capable machine.  Also witnessed the wind110....about the same size and performance....from my "spectator" view....

I know I started this thread asking about 90 size pattern planes but what about something in the 40-60 size too?

I'm interested in getting one of the new YS 70's.

Have a look at the Angel .50.  Could be just what you are looking for in a .40-.60 size pattern bird.
