I've flown in a few IMAC contests so I know what precision aerobatics is about, but I was wondering what is different other than the planes used and routines in Pattern?

Do you fly one or two sequences each round?

How many rounds are flown in a contest?

Where can I find out about contests in my area?

I'm about ready to get a Hyperion Helios 90E to get started.  I recently bought a 3D Hobby Shop 70" AJ Slick so I have some 6S 5000maH packs I can use and I was thinking of getting some slightly bigger.  I'll have to get a few servos for the helios and I was thinking of trying some of the Hyperion or Align digital servos.

Hi,

In Pattern, we fly (or try depending on the weather) 6 rounds. We count 4 of those rounds with 2 throw aways. One sequence per round. Contests in your area, well, look here on this website, look under the districts tab, and look at their contest schedule. Some may still be working on it, but you can get an idea from the previous year. Also, there should be contact info for your district VP there. If you can't find it, tell me what state you live in, and I'll be glad to put you in contact with your DVP.
Email is kfactoreditor@gmail.com

Any other q's, don't hesitate to contact me.
