I have a small list of updates for September. You will have to forgive me for no input in August. I spent all of the month in Colorado on vacation. After the Nats I was ready for a vacation from flying. I am rested and ready to go again! Everyone make sure to check the September K-factor. There are some good pictures of D2 members while at the Nats. I must say all pilots from D2 did a great job. District two should be proud. On another good note Tim Taylor has agreed to give me a hand with the district. Because I live in the northern portion I don't always get the news from the southern portion as fast as I would like. This will also give you someone to talk to first hand if needed. I want to make sure you as a member get help if needed. I'm sure Tim will be a great addition to District 2 NSRCA's presents. Final subject is the Fredericksburg contest coming up the 17th and 18th of September. Everything is set and ready to go. All you need to do is show up, pay your entry fee and perhaps buy a few more chances on the airplane to be given away and your set for a great weekend. Remember if you need information concerning the field the web site is http://fredericksburgrc.com. You can use this site for information for reservations at motels and directions to the field. They truely are a great bunch of guys that want us to have a good time at their field. I am looking for a great turnout. You could come home with a great airplane to add to your hanger. This is our district finals. Awards will be given in Sportsman, Intermediate, Advance, Masters and FAI. The sportsmanship trophy will be given out at the Winston Salem meet coming up in Oct.
