The Canandaigua Chiefs are pleased to sponsor our 11th annual pattern contest this year, June 19 & 20! Our Field is located on Gehan Rd off of Routes 5 & 20 on the New York Steam Engine Associations property. The grass field is 600ft long by 150 ft wide, with a small pavilion. There is ample room for parking, camping, and RV’s (no services). GPS coordinates: 42.87 degrees North by 77.19 degrees West. We plan to run up to 6 rounds for all AMA classes and FAI. The field will be open for practice Friday, June 18 at 1:30 pm. Lunches included with registration. Saturday dinner will be the pilot's choice of our area's numerous restaurants and wineries/breweries. Anyone planning to camp at the field is requested to send an email request prior to the event. | June 19, 7:30-8:45 Registration, 8:45 Pilots Meeting, 9:00 Wheels Up Up to 6 rounds flown, 2020-2021 AMA rules apply. Contestant Judging, (please read rule book) Awards for 3 places each class. We encourage beginners to participate and will help answer questions, and coach flying technique. |
